Safety skills at a young age
Our curriculum for 2-3rd grade students is tailored as a perfect teaching tool for youths not old enough for our later curricula, but more advanced than kindergarten and first grade.
As with our other elementary curricula, the 2-3rd grade edition features large flashcards to aid classroom instruction and discussion, videos with quizzes, simulation activities, and a creative art activity.
The art activity is also open to WalkSafe's annual art contest for all students in Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

Curriculum Completion Form
All schools and organizations currently utilizing this curricula in a direct partnership with UHealth WalkSafe must submit a curriculum completion form (CCF) after curriculum implementation.
WalkSafe Elementary is used by these institutions:
- First implemented with Miami-Dade County Public Schools in 2002
- Mandated into MDCPS K-8 Pedestrian/Bus Education Program by school board resolution, April 9, 2003, item D-9
